               Paul, at Romans 4:18 wrote of Abraham that “based on hope he had faith.”  At Romans 8:24, he showed that when a person hopes for something it is because he has not seen it as he would not “hope” for it if he had.  This is true of faith.  If one sees signs or miracles, it does not take any faith to believe God’s message so that these become the enemy of “faith.”  Romans 8:25 tells us that the combination of the qualities of hope and faith will produce “endurance,” a godly quality we all need to have.
