               He first rejected them and then “silenced” them as He stated He would do in Hosea 4:4-6 due to their “forgetting” His law.  He did this by sending Nebuchadnezzar against them bringing upon them untold sorrow, pain and destruction.  (Jeremiah 23:19, 20)
