           The angel told Daniel to "make secret the words and seal up the book until the time of the end." Jehovah’s Witnesses have been taught that the "time of the end" began in the year of 1914 on the basis of Russell’s work. But Russell did his computations to arrive at this date based on the book of Daniel before the "time of the end" began. Therefore, according to current WTS doctrine, the book of Daniel could not have been unsealed before the year of 1914.
