           It does not mean that Jesus is waiting for Jehovah to enthrone him as king as the Watchtower Society teaches. 1 Corinthians 15:24-26 shows that just before Jesus’ rule ends, he will have brought to nothing or destroyed all governments, power or authority. Paul was saying that Jesus was simply awaiting Jehovah’s word to begin his work of ridding the earth of all enemies including Adamic death. When he has accomplished this, his rule will end and he will humbly hand the kingdom back to Jehovah as verse 28 of this chapter shows.
