              The Watchtower Society teaches that these “kings of the earth” are the “political rulers of our world.”  In their publication Babylon the Great Has Fallen – God’s Kingdom Rules, page 594, paragraph 1, they write, in reference to Revelation 17:12-14, that “since the number ten (10) symbolizes earthly completeness, then the “ten kings” who devastate Babylon the Great would represent ALL OR THE COMPLETE NUMBER of kings that rule on the earth.”  But a few pages farther in the same publication, page 609, paragraph 1, in reference to Revelation 18:9, they write this:  “Those mourning kings could hardly be identical in personality with the symbolic ten horns who hate the harlot, Babylon the Great, and devastate her and burn her with fire.”  There is a definite contradiction as to who these “kings of the earth” are based on what they say about these two scriptures in this publication.
