             Jehovah did bring that destruction upon Judah and they went into captivity to Babylon.  Then Jehovah, as promised, did deliver his people from Babylonish captivity.  He had the prophet Isaiah write about a future king that He, Jehovah, would lead into Babylon to release His people.  This one was Cyrus, the king of Persia who released the Jews to return to their homeland.
