               Since it is neither strange nor unusual for Jehovah to fight in behalf of His People, then this verse must be describing something different.  It would be strange and unusual if Jehovah, using the same tactics that He used on their enemies, were to turn around and actually used these to fight against His own People.  It would certainly be “strange and unusual” to His People to see Him fighting against them.
