           Joel speaks about a future time when Jehovah will pour out his spirit upon His people and they will prophesy, see visions and dream dreams. They will be given miraculous "gifts of the spirit." This will occur before the "great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah" that Jehovah’s Witnesses believe is still to occur in the future. According to this prophecy the two events occur one just before the other. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that there are thousands of years between the two events.
