           In both John 14:26 and 15:26, he is described as the helper whom Jesus sends from the father. Isaiah 42:1-9 describes him as the one Jehovah chooses as His Servant and puts His spirit upon. He will give him as a covenant to the people and a light to the nations. He would open the eyes of the blind and release those held prisoner, those sitting in darkness.
