                          The Watchtower Society teaches that the governments are destroyed at the beginning of the reign of Jesus and the resurrection occurs over the thousand-year period.  Daniel 12:1, 2 does not indicate that there is a great separation of time between the “great distress” upon the nations and the awakening of those “asleep in the ground of dust.”  In fact this verse shows that all the dead, the righteous and the unrighteous, will be brought back together, instantly, and not over a long thousand-year period.  (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15)
