           Paul had no thought of not greeting a disfellowshipped person when he used the Greek word, ‘sunanamignumi.’ At 1 Thessalonians 3:14, 15, he used the same word when he wrote of marking a brother who had committed a sin that did not justify disfellowshipping him. The brothers were to limit their association with this one but they were not to treat him as an enemy. They were to continue to speak to him. So the meaning of the Greek word has nothing to do with shunning a brother completely but has to do with having a social or intimate association with him.
