Jesus stated, as recorded at Luke 19:12-27, that, at his “second coming,” he would bring to an end the Jewish System with its covenant established at Mount Sinai and its special relationship with Jehovah. He also said that those who did not want him to become king (the Jewish nation) would be slaughtered. He would also reward those faithful followers of his and would judicially punish those that were unfaithful. He accomplished all of this in 70 C.E., when he “returned.” (See 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10)
