           Isaiah 42:1-9 is a part of the well-known "Servant Prophecies" and is addressed to the Servant. But the translators of the New World Translation chose to insert the word ‘people’ in verse 9, which changes the entire meaning of the verse. They wanted it to appear as if Jehovah was speaking to a group of people, the nation of Israel. If we were to check other translations we would find that the word, people, is not used in this verse.
