         The WTS agrees that the apostles had the authority in the first century, but they argue that later on as the congregations grew, a governing body was put in place and they say that the account in Acts chapter 15 supports that view. They claim that this was a Divinely approved arrangement from Jehovah. They also say that this special body of men would then act as the "mouthpiece" for the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" arrangement that was commissioned by Jesus to "give the food at the proper time."
