                The religious leaders failed to use the Law Covenant as it was intended.  They began to believe that their understanding and interpretations of the Law was the final word on religious matters and therefore put themselves in the position of “instructors” or “teachers” of the Law without having been taught accurately by the “Christ,” their final instructor.
