               According to the Publication, Man’s Salvation Out of World Distress at Hand, page 114, the Watchtower Society admits that they needed “to do some reforming as to their way and thought as World War I ended.”  They also needed “to think about their failings and shortcomings with regard to God’s worship and service.”  They had come under “community responsibility” due to not remaining neutral during World War I.
