Answer #14

Jeremiah wrote of the results of the discipline that Jehovah would bring upon His people and their change in attitude. He wrote that they would have the faces turned in the direction of Zion, weeping as they walk, seeking for their God, Jehovah. They would say to one another, ‘Come, and let us join ourselves to Jehovah in an indefinitely lasting covenant that will not be forgotten." (Jeremiah 50:4, 5) Ezekiel also wrote that these people would ‘remember and actually be ashamed’ of their conduct, and ‘they would have no more reason to open their mouths because of their humiliation’ when He made ATONEMENT for them. (Ezekiel 16:62, 63)
