         Their ‘coming to life’ means that they have successfully passed the severe tests brought upon them by Satan proving themselves faithful to Jehovah. He now considers them, spiritually speaking, alive in His eyes. They now have his approval to become anointed sons. Some scriptures to help us to understand this concept of being alive in a spiritual sense are: John 5:24 where Jesus said that those who heard his word and believed it had passed from death to life. At Luke 9:60, Jesus compared those who were not following him to their being dead. At 1 John 3:14, John said that those who did not love his brother would remain in death.
