WHO IS THE FAITHFUL SLAVE OF MATTHEW 24:45?
The Faithful and Discreet Slave of Matthew 24:45 is a very familiar topic among Jehovah's Witnesses themselves, since it is mentioned, yes drilled into them, at almost every meeting held by Jehovah's Witnesses and constantly mentioned in the written publications of the Watchtower Society.
If you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses, then you probably already know, the Watchtower Society claims the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" is a "class" of "anointed" persons, where all down thru out the years since the establishment of the christian congregation at Pentecost of the first century, an "anointed" remnant has existed upon the earth, and fulfilled the role of the "Slave" Class of anointed footstep followers of Jesus, for close to 2,000 years now. Over 6 million Jehovah's Witnesses and other interested persons, have placed implicit faith that this is a reality, and a true teaching from God.
However, we believe this teaching is a false doctrine, which exists today without proper scriptural backing. Under close examination, it is proved to be "a false story," like the teaching of 1914, that has been "underhandedly," "cunningly" and "artfully contrived." -- 2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Peter 1:16
The YORWW Congregation believes this situation where the "Faithful and Discreet" Slave and also an "Evil" Slave will develop in the future, after the "Son of Man" prophecies have begun to become a reality to God's Name People of our time. What I am referring to then, would be the future "Revealing" of the "Son of man," as shown in Luke 17:30. That verse says:
"The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be "revealed" [Greek: apokalupto which means: an "unveiling," an "uncovering"].
Thus, this one first has to be "revealed" as the Modern Day "Son of Man," before we can properly start to understand the many parables and illustrations that Jesus left for our benefit. This one, the Modern Day "Servant" of Jehovah, then when "revealed," will be become the "Son of Man," of our modern day and age, who has been authorized by Jehovah God to start a "Temple" and build a place of worship for Jehovah's Witnesses, who have righteously began to abandon wicked Babylon The Great, the Watchtower Society itself, and the "apostate" nation of Israel who wickedly follow them at that time. (Isaiah 10:6) It will be during such a traumatic time as this, that the one called the "Chieftain" will began to build a spiritual "Temple" for God. This spiritual "Temple" will be established for repentant Jehovah's Witnesses and will thus receive continual spiritual direction to guide the repatriated nation of Israel forevermore. God's Word shows the "Chieftain," will receive spiritual food or spiritual "bread" from Jehovah in the "East Gate" [where only he is permitted] to feed the nation of Israel. Detail instructions concerning this future spiritual Temple is shown within the prophetic book of Ezekiel. In this "Temple", Jehovah's Holy Presence will reside forever more, and will exist with His people upon earth, thru this righteous temple arrangement. -- Ezekiel 44:1-3; Ezekiel 45:16, 17; Ezekiel 46:12; Ezekiel 48:35
Thus, AFTER, that spiritual "Temple" of God's making, has been set up, then certain situations will begin to be put into focus. Situations, that will exist OUTSIDE that future "Temple" arrangement. Thus, at that time, we can finally expect the events of the Faithful and Discreet Slave along with the many "Son of man" prophecies to start to have their unique fulfillment. But remember, fulfillment, OUTSIDE the established "Temple" arrangement of that time.
For example, the illustration of the "wheat and weeds," where the "Son of Man" sows righteous "wheat" in a special "field," "world" [Greek: kosmos, which means "an arrangement"] and then mysteriously leaves it, only to return at a later time, and find the "field" infested with unsavory, wicked ones. Thus, it will be during such a setting, that "Faithful Slave" and the "Evil Slave" will be truly understood, when both "faithful" & "wicked" slaves, make their appearance, for the world of mankind to see.
That's about as much by way of the "details" that I can provide at this time, without revealing truly "confidential" information that should not be made known at this time. Jehovah the true, "Revealer of Secrets," will make such information available, thru his "servants, the prophets," at the most appropriate time in our future. At that time, the parable of the Faithful Slave and its true fulfillment, will be completely revealed for the whole world to see...when the "mystery of God," will have been fully brought to a finish. -- Daniel 2:19-21, 29; Amos 3:7; Acts 1:7; Revelation 10:7
